How to create cool “web 2.0″ buttons

by Nadav on February 16, 2009

In my old design I had three cool buttons in my sidebar: one for my squeeze page, one for my twitter account and one for my youtube account. I’ve got lots of comments a few emails asking me how I made them so I decided to make a video:

(For the best viewing experience open it on youtube, click “watch in high quality” in the bottom right and expand it to full screen)

Download the finished photoshop file (psd)

You can download a free 30-day trial of photoshop on Adobe’s website. You can also use GIMPshop which is a free open-source program similar to photoshop.

If you have any problems leave a comment and I’ll do my best to help. I’ll also appreciate feedback and suggestions.

have fun photoshopping,

Nadav

Hi Nadav,

Cool buttons – well done on being unique!

I'm also one of Alex's students getting off to a late start!
My blog is now online and I have added your site to my blogroll.

I see you have also written the "oil rig" story on your blog.
you may also be interested in having a look at mine!

Have a great day!
